The world premiere of composer William Schuman's "A Question of Taste" will highlight the 15th summer season of Glimmerglass Opera, June 24-Sept. 3. The Schuman premiere will be presented on a double bill with the composer's lively baseball opera "The Mighty Casey" June 24 with four additional performances through July 2.
The season continues with Giuseppe Verdi's "La Traviata" opening July 22 with eight further performances through Aug. 7. The season will conclude with the American premiere of Greenbank and Ford's 1893 operetta "Mr. Jericho," to be presented as a "curtain-raiser" to the Gilbert and Sullivan favorite "H.M.S.
