FED:Australian rescued from quake debris

SYDNEY, Feb 23 AAP - An Australian office worker who became trapped beneath her desk
in an office building extensively damaged in Christchurch's 6.3-magnitude earthquake is
recovering in hospital.

Ann Vos telephoned reporters on Tuesday night to say she was trapped beneath her desk
under tonnes of concrete, glass and steel in the Pyne Gould Corporation Building after
the earthquake hit the New Zealand city.

On Wednesday, she told of how she didn't think she was going to make it out alive.
