Green homes now in use

Five families are settling into a housing association's greenest-ever homes.

The affordable homes built for Selwood Housing at Bradford onAvon were opened by Chippenham MP Duncan Hames.

Built on the site of some crumbling garages, the homes are partof a wider development of garage sites in the town providing 22houses.

They have been designed with solar panels to help provide hotwater and heating, and with water butts, compost bins and internalrecycling bins, while every home has a cycle shed.

The new homes have been let through Wiltshire Council'sHomes4Wiltshire scheme.
